Our Favorite Every Day Makeup Products
By now, I am sure you know our brand is built largely on personal and unique touches. Beauty itself is very personal, which is why we strive to make sure that every individual and event receives that personal touch, but suited to them. A question we get asked often enough is what makeup products do the artists you work with use. To be honest, a variety of products. No artist uses all of the product from one makeup line, because one line doesn’t make all the best products.
Everyday Makeup Routine
To give you an idea some of the products the artists use include Lancome, MAC, Anastasia, Urban Decay, Laura Mercier, the list goes on. The point being, they are all quality products (and they are not going to harm your skin). Most of the products the artists use are for special occasions, though you could use them every day. Here are some of our favorites that you can use in your everyday makeup routine.
This foundation is literally a godsend. Lancome has done such a good job with this foundation, as it is almost impossible not to be able to match to your skin tone. They differentiate between yellow and peach tones as well, which makes matching even easier. The best part about this foundation? It is SO LIGHT. Goes on like a foundation and blends like a powder. You can’t feel it in on your skin and it makes your skin look smooth and flawless. Winning.
Being honest here, we are obsessed with Stila’s products, particularly its eyeshadows and contour. The quality of the eyeshadows is so good, and the palette is very diverse. Plus you when you are blending the shadows on your eyes, the colors are true and make your eyes pop. Perfect for the Southern California babe.
The number one product we get asked about is what to use to fill in eyebrows. There are plenty of options for special events (powders, gels, etc.), but for every day, use a brow pencil. The Anastasia brow definer is the best on the market, hands down. We love this one, as the tip is a slant, which allows you to fill in your brows, while also shaping them. Plus it is a time saver. Regular eyebrow pencils are great to give you that feathered look, but no one has time for that.
Tip: If you eyebrows ever look too dark after filling them in, use your powder brush to blend them in. Not too hard, but when you put some powder on them, it automatically lightens them up. No need for RBF.
Not going to lie, there are actually some pretty good drugstore mascaras, but splurge a little. I mean your eyes are the window to your soul, so you might as highlight them with amazing mascara. We love the Diorshow Mascara because it gives your eyes that amazing pop without having to do 50 coats. What we really love is the brush, as it is slightly curved, so you are able to get the mascara at the root of your lashes and blend up.
Tip: When trying out mascara at the store, you have to use those disposable mascara wands. Sanitation, we know, but honestly they don’t help you at all, especially if the mascara you are trying has a particular wand brush. Be aware of this and only take into account how the mascara itself feels, not the brush, as it won’t look exactly the same as if you used the actual product.
